2016 Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival adds Kamasi Washington, Anderson .Paak and MixByAli to lineup
Camp Flog Gnaw

The lineup for Tyler the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival just got a little more interesting. On Sept. 28, it was announced that Kamasi Washington, Anderson.Paak and MixedByAli will be performing at this year’s event. The carnival’s previously announced lineup features a host of musical luminaries including Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne, Sleigh Bells, Chance the Rapper, Joey Bada$$, A$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q and Death Grips. Tyler and his fellow Odd Future members Domo Genesis, Left Brain, Mike G and Taco Bennett are also scheduled to perform.

While they may not be as well-known as the headliners, the event’s newly added acts are some of music’s most exciting emerging performers. Kamasi Washington is a saxophonist who contributed to Kendrick Lamar’s 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly. Brandon “Anderson.Paak” Anderson is a singer, rapper and multi-instrumentalist who has worked with Dr. Dre and The Game. Derek “MixedByAli” Ali is the resident engineer for Lamar’s Top Dawg Entertainment label.

The California-based carnival, now in its fifth year, will be staged on Nov. 12 and 13 at Los Angeles’s Exposition Park. Tickets to the event are available here.
