2016 has been a landmark year for thrash masters Anthrax. From celebrating the band's 35th anniversary to having released their newest and critically acclaimed album, For All Kings, to touring tirelessly all over the planet - - - 2016 has without a question been the year of Anthrax.
But the band has got big plans for 2017 as well, and one of those plans is for an eight-date tour of the U.K. to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1987 album, Among The Living. This tour will put Anthrax back on U.K. soil for their first full headline tour in that area for more than 10 years. For this run, the band will be performing the Among The Living album in its entirety, and then will play many their other fan favorite tunes as well.
"Finally! We've been looking forward to headlining in the U.K. for so long!" exclaimed Anthrax guitarist, Scott Ian, in a statement, "We have a killer set planned, new stuff, old faves, deep tracks and Among... front to back. You'd better start getting in shape now for the epic war dance!"
Beginning on Feb. 9 in Birmingham, Anthrax will also be steamrolling through London, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, Glasgow, and Newcastle before wrapping things up on Feb. 17 in Norwich. Support for the tour will come from the British metal unit The Raven Age, whose self-titled debut album is out now.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, Nov. 18 - click here for more information.
