The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are two wonderful areas where the spirit of the Irish will run free on St. Patrick’s Day.
From the bars to the restaurants, here are the five best spots to party like the Irish in the Twin Cities.
Dan Kelly’s Pub
212 S. 7th St., Minneapolis, MN 55402
This downtown Minneapolis pub will make you fall in love with Irish pubs. Dan Kelly’s Pub is one of the best bars in downtown to have an epic night on the town on St. Patrick’s Day, and you will have one heck of a good time at this bar.
Merlins Rest Pub
3601 E. Lake St., Minneapolis, MN 55406
Although this pub leans more on the British side, this is still one of the best spots in the Twin Cities to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Merlins Rest Pub will present anything but rest for Twin City drinkers with its large array of Irish beer and whiskeys that will make for a jolly good time.
Emmett’s Public House
695 Grand Ave., St. Paul, MN 55105
You don’t have to head to Minneapolis to drink like the Irish. St. Paul, Minneapolis’ neighbor, also has a tremendous Irish pub scene, with Emmett’s Public House leading the way. This Summit Hill bar is one cool place, with ice-cold Irish beer that will easily quench your thirst.
175 7th St. W, St. Paul, MN 55102
Downtown St. Paul will be alive with the Irish spirit at this iconic pub. The Liffey is an Irish pub through-and-through, with a number of great beers that will have anyone feeling like they're celebrating St. Patrick’s Day right in the heart of Dublin.
Kieran’s Irish Pub
601 1st Ave. N, Minneapolis, MN 55403
We have saved the best pub for last. Kieran’s Irish Pub in downtown Minneapolis has some of the best Irish beer around; and, if that wasn’t enough, this pub also has some great Irish cuisine that will go great with the cold beer.
