English singer-songwriter Bruno Major’s current tour is going so well, he’s decided to add a few more dates. On Nov. 28, Major took to Twitter to announce that in light of the fact that several shows from his 2018 dates have already sold out, he’s now added a show at New York City’s Rough Trade NYC. Tickets for this new show go on sale Dec.1 at 10 a.m.
Major is currently touring in support of his 2017 debut album A Song for Every Moon, which was released in August the via July Records. Although several dates have already sold out, tickets for Major performances in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Philadelphia and Allston, Mass.’ Great Scott are still available.
Hailing from North London, Bruno Major has a musical style is a study in contradictions. As a classically trained musician, Major has spent years studying Great American Songbook as well as the work of jazz innovators such as Chet Baker. At the same time, Major names contemporary artists recording artists such as alt-rock icons Radiohead and American hip-hop superstar Kendrick Lamar as influences. As such, his music sounds both timeless and decidedly 2017.
