Circa Survive to bring On Letting Go 10 Year Tour to Pittsburgh

Post-hardcore vets Circa Survive will bring their On Letting Go 10 Year Anniversary Tour to Pittsburgh’s Stage AE at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 with special guests Mewithoutyou and Turnover.

Circa Survive, which features Anthony Green (vocals), Brendan Ekstrom (guitars), Colin Frangicetto (guitars, vocals), Nick Beard (bass, vocals), and Steve Clifford (drums, percussion), are expected to perform sophomore long-player, On Letting Go, from front to back in its entirety to celebrate the album’s tenth anniversary. On Letting Go, released back in May 2007 via Equal Vision Records, debuted at No. 24 on the Billboard 200.

The five-piece released their most recent effort, Descensus, through Sumerian Records back in November 2014. The album was produced by Will Vip (Title Fight, Balance and Composure).

Also on the bill is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s mewithoutYou. The experimental indie rock five-piece, comprised of Aaron Weiss (vocals), Michael Weiss (guitar), Christopher Kleinberg (guitar), Greg Jehanian (bass), and Richard Mazzotta (drums), released sixth studio long-player, Pale Horses, back in June 2015 through Run for Cover Records. The album, which was produced by Will Yip and includes the lead single “Red Cow,” reached No. 62 on the Billboard 200.

Emo-pop four-piece Turnover will serve as opening act. The Virginia-based band, which consists of Austin Getz (vocals, guitar), Casey Getz (drums), Danny Dempsey (bass), and Eric Soucy (guitar, vocals), released sophomore studio full-length, Peripheral Vision, back in May 2015 through Run for Cover Records. The Will Yip-produced album, supported by the single “Cutting My Fingers Off,” peaked at No. 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.

General Admission tickets are $23 in advance, $25 day of show and are available online. Stage AE is located at 400 North Shore Drive in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For more information, visit Circa Survive’s website, Promo West’s website, and Stage AE on Facebook.
