Although Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival doesn’t get underway for another three months, the festival has announced that rock band Circa Survive has been added to the musical lineup. The Doylestown, Pa.-based five-member band — Nick Beard, Steve Clifford, Brendan Ekstrom, Colin Frangicetto, Anthony Green — shared the news via a press release and on the band’s official Facebook page on Jan. 6, 2015, and wrote “We are playing Coachella this year!” Fans reacted with plenty of “likes” and positive comments.

Circa Survive released its fifth studio album Descensus in 2014 to warm reviews and plenty of praise, with Scott Heisel of Alternative Press writing the album “falls in line as an incredibly strong, innovative album in a catalog already littered with them.” Tim Karan of Diffuser.FM named Descensus one of the top 10 albums of 2014.

The musical lineup for Coachella was announced via the festival’s website and official Facebook page on Jan. 6, 2015. More than 150 musical groups are scheduled to perform during the festival, including AC/DC, Jack White, Drake, Belle and Sebastian, Florence and the Machine, Ryan Adams, Tame Impala, DJ Snake, Alesso, Alabama Shakes and many more. For a complete lineup, check out Coachella’s official website. Circa Survive is scheduled to perform April 12 and 19.

The annual festival is held the weekends of April 10 through 12, and April 17 through 19, 2015, in Indio, Calif. Passes to the festival sold out within minutes, as reported previously on AXS.com. Coachella also promises to be a big event in the desert; last year, a total of almost 600,000 people attended the festival, according to Billboard.com.
