Eric Church closed out 2014 on a very high note. Church earned a place on the Top Selling Albums of 2014 list with The Outsiders according to Billboard. Church had a huge year in 2014 scoring the title of country music’s top selling artist and also claiming the highest country music debut and sales in 2014 with his latest album The Outsiders.

The Outsiders was certified Platinum for reaching the 1 million mark in sales and was named the Album of the Year at the “American Country Countdown Awards.” Church has now received a total number of seven GRAMMY nominations throughout his career by receiving four nominations for “The 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards” taking place on Feb. 8, 2015 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Church is in the running for Best Country Album with The Outsiders which faces Miranda Lambert’s Platinum, Riser from Dierks Bentley, LeeAnn Womack for The Way I'm Livin’ and Brandy Clark’s 12 Stories. Church also earned his nominations in the Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance with Keith Urban for “Raise 'Em Up” and could win the trophy for “Give Me Back My Hometown” in the Best Country Song category.

Taylor Swift claimed the number one spot for the Top Selling Albums of 2014 with 1989 selling 3.66 million copies. Swift’s latest release just made it passed the previous front-runner which was the Frozen Soundtrack that landed in the number two position with 3.53 million albums sold in 2014.

The Frozen Soundtrack and 1989 both earned the honor of being the only albums to sell over three million albums in 2014. Swift has now sold over three million albums in one year for the second time in her career. She also reached that accomplishment in 2009 with her album Fearless selling 3.22 million copies that year.

The number three position belongs to In The Lonely Hour from Sam Smith with Pentatonix landing in the number four spot with That’s Christmas To Me while another movie Soundtrack rounds out the top five with the Guardians Of The Galaxy Soundtrack claiming the number five position on the year end chart.

Beyonce earned the number six spot with her self titled album Beyonce. Barbra Streisand ends 2014 in the seventh spot on the list for Partners with Lorde following right behind her in number eight for Pure Heroine.
