Celebrate New Year’s Eve at a family-friendly event in Charlotte, NC as 2017 turns into 2018. The official New Year’s event in Charlotte will be the CLT New Year’s Eve, which will be a festive celebration that will ring in the New Year with entertainment and fireworks.

CLT New Year’s Eve

The CLT New Year’s Eve, Presented by Ally!, is an annual tradition in Charlotte. The night of family-friendly fun will include a DJ, live music by Sol Fusion, and the lighting of the Queen City crown. The CLT NYE fireworks display will light the skies beginning at midnight.  Food vendors and food trucks will be selling food and refreshments.

MallStars Noon Year’s Eve at Northlake Mall
Dec. 29 @ 10:30 a.m.
Grand Court, Northlake Mall

Noon Year’s Eve will be an early celebration for children, which will include live music, crafts and a balloon drop at noon. Kids 10 and under can sign up for MallStars Kids Club online.

Noon Year’s Eve at Discovery Place Kids

Kids will have a good time making noisemakers and decorations at the museum until 11:45 a.m. and then they will meet at the Town Center for the Big Fun dance party and the countdown to the Big Ball Drop to ring in the New Year. Museum admission is $13-$17.

Sparkle & Glow New Year’s Eve

Ring in the New Year by learning about New Year’s Eve traditions that are observed around the world. There will be live music and a glowing hula hoop performance. Admission to the Garden will be $6.95-$12.95.

Winter Wonderland Ice Skating Rink

Charlotte’s newest open-air ice skating rink will be open through the holiday season, including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Kids and adults will enjoy gliding across the ice during this family-friendly activity. Tickets will be $12/person without skates, or $17/person including skate rental.

Kids and adults will enjoy skating at Holiday on Ice, an outdoor ice skating rink in the heart of uptown. The skating rink will be open on Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. – midnight. Admission will be $10 without skates, or $14 with skates.
