Ministry and Death Grips are heading out together on fall tour

Industrial music pioneers Ministry and noise rap iconoclasts Death Grips are heading out on a co-headlining fall tour, the bands announced Monday. The trek kicks off on Oct. 13 in Worcester, Mass. and wraps up on Nov. 11 in Dallas. Pre sale gets underway this Wed., July 19, with general on sale beginning Fri. July 21. Though the two bands have very different styles and are separated by a generation, the pairing makes quite a bit of sense. With their blend of hard rock riffs and electronic production, Ministry opened the door for bands like Nine Inch Nails on highly influential songs like “Jesus Built My Hotrod” and “Just One Fix.” Sacramento’s Death Grips have released several albums of highly corrosive rap rock and the band’s intense live shows have earned them the respect of everyone from Bjork to Tyler, The Creator.
