Channel 93.3's Not So Silent Night has become one of the most cutting-edge, revealing shows that is held all year long. With a slew of bands traditionally attending the event, each of them always seems to have an strong intrigue factor to them, as if they are on the cusp of super-stardom.
This year will be no different as four feature bands will be on stage at the 1STBANK Center performing in front of what is already a sold out crowd. Among the artists that will be playing live are groups such as Cage the Elephant, Fitz and the Tantrums, Vance Joy and Half Moon Run. The show will be held on Dec. 5.
Previous Not So Silent Night shows have featured artists the likes of Of Monsters and Men, Rise Against, Bastille, fun. and Churchill. Cage the Elephant will be doing a Midwest-to-West tour starting this December. The band will begin its trip in Columbus, OH and will end the year back in Sauget, IL.
For Fitz and the Tantrums, they are currently on tour in the Midwest and will eventually make their way to the West Coast when they hit Portland, Oregon on Dec. 9. The group will remain touring in the United States through the end of the year. They will take a few months off of touring before they resume in Argentina toward the end of March.
Vance Joy is also on tour, but is in the middle of a West Coast-heavy string of shows. While he will make it out to Illinois on Dec. 3, his show makes its way back to Colorado on Friday, Dec. 5. Touring for him will continue in the US until the end of the year. In mid-January, Vance will take his show on the road to Australia, where he will begin a slew of shows in that area.
Finally, Half Moon Run does not have many shows scheduled over the course of the next year or so. They will be playing Not So Silent Night on Dec. 5, but after that their next scheduled performance isn't until Oct. 15, 2015 in Montreal. All of this said, it's highly likely that more dates will be added to their schedule between now and then, unless a new album is being worked on. We'll keep you updated on what comes of this in the future.
