Chris Young and Cassadee Pope have been in the news a lot together lately. The two released a music video together in January called “Think of You.” Then, in February, the two turned in a duet together in a New York City concert. Taste of Country reported on Friday that the two are now working on writing some music together.

It was Cassadee Pope who revealed the big news, as she posted an Instagram photo of her and Young together with the comment “Those who duet together, write together….” Producer Corey Crowder was also in the photo with the two. There wasn’t much more than that, but it makes fans curious about whether or not the two will be working together on one or both of their future albums.

“Think of You,” the duet that Pope and Young performed together, was written by Young, Pope, and Crowder, so the trio have proven to be very successful when it comes to collaborating. The song came from Young’s I’m Comin’ Over album and was the second single. While “I’m Comin’ Over” hit number one for Young, “Think of You” has reached ninth so far on the U.S. Country Airplay charts and 12th on the Billboard Country Music chart.

Released in January, the song still has a chance to make a move. Young has enjoyed six number one songs over his career and he has seven singles that have charted gold and two more that have reached platinum status, including “I’m Comin’ Over.”

Cassadee Pope started out her career as a pop punk singer, but moved into country after appearing on “The Voice.” Her debut county album, Frame by Frame, was a number one hit on the U.S. Country Albums chart. It included two songs, with the best being “Wasting All These Tears,” which hit fifth on the country chart and reached platinum status.

Her most recent solo single is “I Am Invincible,” which she released in 2015 from her untitled upcoming album. Since Chris Young’s most recent album was released last November, if the two are collaborating on a new song, it is likely to be for Pope’s next album.
