Eric Church and Zac Brown Band will be joining up with a very impressive list of artists that will be coming together for a special performance. The Boot spread the news that Church and Zac Brown Band are among the list of names taking part in “Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America.” Ticket proceeds will go towards The United Way Worldwide’s Fund for Progress on Race in America.
The concert will be bringing artists together to join up for special duets and performances to raise awareness to help bridge the gap of racial issues by starting up the A+E Networks campaign. The concert special will take place on Nov. 18, 2015 at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and will be recorded to be braodcast on 150 iHeartRadio music stations across the nation and all of the A+E Networks TV stations including A&E, LMN, FYI, H2, HISTORY and Lifetime on Nov. 20, 2015 beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST.
“Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America” will also include Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Pharrell Williams, Rhiannon Giddens, Tori Kelly, Miguel, Pink, Jill Scott, Big Sean, Andra Day, Jamie Foxx and John Legend. The two hour concert special aims to bring artists of different backgrounds together to open up discussions about racial issues that our country faces today leading to a way to find a solution to the problems that are occurring.
Church will get back to the stage to take part in the C2C Festival in 2016. Church will hit the stage for three shows during the Country To Country Festival on March 11, 2016 at the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland, March 12, 2016 at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland and March 13, 2016 at the 02 Arena in London, England. Kacey Musgraves and Chris Stapleton will also be getting all three of the shows going on those dates with Church.
The C2C lineup of country music stars also includes Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Sam Hunt, Dwight Yoakam, Thomas Rhett, Maddie and Tae, Ashley Monroe and Andrew Combs. The 2016 C2C Festival is a follow up to the C2C 2015 show that brought 80,000 country fans together to see a lineup that included Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean and many more perform.
