Eric Church hitting the airwaves with his own satellite show

Eric Church will debut his own satellite radio show, “Outsiders Radio” on Friday, February 27. According to CMT, the show will air on SiriusXM’s The Highway at 10 p.m. Eastern. MusicRow adds that the new show will be available through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App and online at as well.

Though Outsiders Radio will only air the last Friday of each month, Eric Church fans will definitely be counting down the days until the next broadcast. The Outsiders show promises new music from Eric Church himself as well as music that was in some way influential to the country star or current music that he enjoys.

“Outsiders Radio” will be an interesting opportunity for fans to get inside Eric Church’s head and get an even better understanding of how he came to be who he is today. The “Give Me Back My Hometown” and “Talladega” singer has been known, in recent years, for his dedication to making music that is of a better quality than just another meaningless tune that will top the charts. For his last album, “The Outsiders,” Eric Church actually wrote 121 songs in an attempt to tell a story, not just churn out catchy songs that would climb the charts.

He is interested in being an artist, not just another copycat singer. “Outsiders Radio” will give fans the chance to hear what Eric Church considers worthwhile music and perhaps help them understand his vision as an artist.

In an interview on SiriusXM’s The Highway, Eric Church said he doesn’t even participate in social media because he feels like it takes away from the music itself. Fans can tune in to hear more of Eric Church’s unpopular, but refreshing views on the music industry when “Outsiders Radio” premieres on February 27 or via Monday morning or Wednesday afternoon replays at 12:00 a.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern, respectively.
