On Dec. 5 American country music singer Eric Church released an official music video for his song "Talladega" on his VEVO YouTube channel. The video is just under five minutes long, and it was directed by Peter Zavadil. You can watch Eric Church's official "Talladega" music video here.
According to an official press release, the concept for the video came from Church's manager John Peets. In the video there is both a narrative, and live performance footage. For the live footage, Church is performing with his backing band at the Nashville Speedway. There is no crowd or fans during the live performance.
The story line of the video revolves around an old man who's in a hospital. As he lays in bed, he is reminiscing about his life. You see him as a kid, having birthday parties, getting married, and more. At the end of the video, the man passes away in his hospital bed.
The song "Talladega" is the fourth single from Eric Church's fourth studio album, The Outsiders. The album was released earlier this year on Feb. 11 via EMI Nashville. The album reached the top spot on both the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums chart, and the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
Recently, the album The Outsiders was nominated for a CMA Award in the category of Album of the Year. At the 2014 American Music Awards it was nominated for Favorite Country Album. In support of the album, Church is headlining the "The Outsiders World Tour". Dates for the early 2015 leg of the tour can be viewed here.
