If you're a Radiohead fan living in New York or Los Angeles you are in luck
Touring for the first time in four years, the English alternative rockers will be headlining multiple nights at New York's Madison Square Garden, July 26-27, and Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium, Aug. 4 and Aug. 8. The four U.S. dates are part of a world tour that begins on May 20 in Amsterdam at Heineken Music Hall and finishes up on Oct. 3 in Mexico City at Palacio de los Desportes.
The tour includes a mix of headlining shows and festival appearances, some of which were previously announced. Festival shows include Barcelona's Primavera Sound, Montreal's Osheaga Festival, Reykjavik's Secret Solice, and Japan's Summersonic, among others. Multiple-night engagements include Amsterdam (two nights), London (three nights), and Mexico City (two nights).
According to Radiohead's website, "These are all the headline shows that the band will play in 2016,” although more festival dates are likely to be forthcoming. Tickets for most shows go on sale Friday, March 18. To minimize scalping on the secondary ticket market and "to give more fans a chance to buy a ticket at its intended price," Radiohead says restrictions will apply, including a limit of two tickets per order on all shows.
On tour, Radiohead -- Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Phil Selway, and Ed O'Brien -- will be supporting its soon to be released ninth studio album. The band last toured the U.S. in 2011 in support of King of Limbs, on a 10 city tour, Feb. 27 - March 15.
