Upon the success of Lollapalooza Berlin's debut last year, the festival is returning for another year. That said, Lolla has just made the first lineup announcement for its 2016 festival, which will include Radiohead, Kings Of Leon and Major Lazer.
Joining the above-mentioned artists are New Order, Zedd, Milky Chance, The 1975 and James Blake. German electronic music producer Paul Kalkbrenner, singer-songwriters Philipp Poisel and Max Herre (the latter performing with Kahedi Radio Orchestra) and Belgian DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are also among the undercard.
Lollapalooza Berlin made its debut last year with a solid lineup made up of headliners Muse, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and The Libertines. Also on the bill were Sam Smith, Bastille, Fatboy Slim, Tame Impala, Martin Garrix, Dog Blood (Skrillex & Boys Noize), Digitalism, Hot Chip, James Bay, Chvrches, Wolf Alice, Belle & Sebastian, FFS (Franz Ferdinand & Sparks), My Morning Jacket, Run The Jewels, Dawes, Glass Animals, among others.
Lollapalooza Berlin will take place on September 10-11 at Treptower Park in Berlin, Germany. It is the first European extension of the festival, which, along with the trio of South American events — Chile, Brazil and Argentina — make up Lollapalooza’s non-North American festival branches.
