Radiohead shares new video for 'Lift' (watch)

Earlier this year, Radiohead put out a deluxe reissue of their 1997 masterpiece OK Computer to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary. Dubbed OKNOTOK, the reissue’s bonus material features B-sides and previously unreleased tracks. One of those tracks, “Lift,” is the latest of the previously unreleased material to get the visual treatment.

The video sees Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke taking an elevator ride that starts out mundane but takes a surreal twist. As with many things Radiohead, the video also exudes a certain Kafkaesque quality. You can check it out above.

As Pitchfork pointed out, “Lift” is the third previously unreleased OKNOTOK track to get a video, following “I Promise” and “Man of War." Radiohead collaborator Oscar Hudson directed the video for “Lift” and has worked with Radiohead previously on a vignette for the A Moon Shaped Pool track “The Numbers." You can check out the vignette below and keep it here at AXS for the latest Radiohead news.
