Last Thursday, Lucky Strike Hollywood hosted the Rock For Freedom benefit which supports Rockers United. All proceeds from the event went to Rockers United, an organization that raises awareness of Human Trafficking and helps those affected by it. Legendary rock photographer Kevin Estrada founded Rockers United and holds annual benefits. Papa Roach headlined this year's event, and it also included sets from The Mendenhall Experiment and Edge of Paradise. The event started with a red carpet which included all performing bands and celebrities in attendance. There was an online auction in advance of the event where fans could bid on bowling with Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys, Rudy Sarzo and Blasko (Ozzy Osbourne's current and past bass players), 80’s rockers London, and Hoobastank. At the event there was a silent auction including signed memorabilia and guitars from Axl Rose, Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Sixx AM, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Papa Roach, Hoobastank, and more.
During Papa Roach’s set, a cake was presented to Jacoby Shaddix for his 40th birthday as fans sang happy birthday. Shaddix walked down the bar towards the end of the set and stage dived/ crowd surfed several times. They played over an hour long set.
