Trey Songz, a crooner from Virginia, has made quite the buzz over the last few years. Though he signed his first record deal in 2003, he has gone on to top Billboard charts with song after song over the more recent years. His penchant to work with some of the country's most famous hip-hop acts doesn't hurt, as his soulful, yet powerful voice compliments hard hitting lyrics with ease.

The way the singer meshes hip-hop with his own brand of rhythm and blues is done unlike ever before and has rewarded him the opportunity to travel the world to share his gift—his stop in The Big Easy included. Many of his stage shows include high tech imagery and fanfare, and his set at Fair Grounds Race Track can be expected to be just as lively.

Festivalgoers that are dead set on catching Trey Songz' high budget set will be blessed with not only his strong vocals and sexy choreography, but also some surprises. Many of Songz' sets are quite different, never assuring any particular experience for his fans, instead leaving some mystery to it. Trey's sexual lyrics and movements appeal to a female demographic, but his expert choices in accompaniment reach the male fans, ensuring a healthy mixed crowd. Expect to hear well known tracks off his latest studio release, “Chapter V,” as well as some older fan favorites.

Die-hard fans and newcomers alike will relish the opportunity to see Trey Songz do what his does best in the heart of NOLA.
