STRFKR, formerly known as Starfucker, will perform at the Teragram Ballroom at 1234 West 7th Street in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, December 31. The talent will take the stage at this “21 and over” event at approximately 8:00 p.m.
For those not up on this act, STRFKR is an American indie rock band based in Portland, Oregon. They were founded in 2007. The band roster currently includes Joshua Hodges a.k.a. Sexton Blake (vocals, keyboards, guitar and drums), Shawn Glassford (bass, keyboards and drums), Keil Corcoran (drums, keyboards and vocals), and ex-Strength member Patrick Morris (guitar, keyboard and vocals).
Their signature sound is a musical mash-up of rock, electronic, indie pop, indie rock, synthpop and neo-psychedelia. Their rock resume includes five singles, four full-length albums, four EPs and three other releases.
Their debut disc was the EP Starfucker which was released in 2007. The band’s first full-length album, titled Starfucker, hit the record racks the following year. The band’s most recent release, named Miracle Mile, dropped in 2013.
According to the critics at Timeout, those in attendance should expect “a rowdy New Year's Eve show.” They also think that partiers can “expect the group to play their famed cover of Cyndi Lauper's ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’, and (they) can't rule out the possibility of ridiculous costumes and/or balloons.”
The supporting act has not officially been confirmed as this article goes to press. As always though, supporting acts are subject to change without prior notice. The staff of the Teragram Ballroom would like to remind all in attendance that their usual admittance and safety policies will apply to this event.
Tickets are $90.00. The price includes an open bar from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tickets and additional information can be obtained online at Ticketmaster or other such websites.
There is a limit of four tickets per household. As per usual, all tickets are subject to applicable facility fees and service charges. Prices are subject to change.
