The Black Dahlia Murder to bring Summer Slaughter Tour to Starland Ballroom

Metal Blade Records’ The Black Dahlia Murder will bring the 2017 Summer Slaughter Tour to Starland Ballroom on Friday, July 28. The melodic death metal outfit, which is scheduled to perform 2007’s Nocturnal in its entirety, will be joined by Dying Fetus, Oceano, The Faceless, Slaughter to Prevail and more.

The Black Dahlia Murder is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its third studio long-player, Nocturnal. The album, which emerged in September 2007, managed to reach No. 6 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart thanks in part to the success of singles “Everything Went Black” and “What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse.”

Abysmal, the band’s latest album, dropped back in September 2015. Recording with the band’s longtime producer Mark Lewis, the album debuted at No. 45 on the Billboard 200. It spawned three singles: “Vlad, Son of the Dragon,” “Receipt,” and “Threat Level No. 3.”

Death metal veterans Dying Fetus are promoting their brand new  full-length, Wrong One to F**k With, which dropped back in June on Relapse Records. The 11-track album debuted at No. 180 on the Billboard 200.

Oceano, an Illinois-based deathcore act, recently released its fifth full-length, Revelation. The album, which dropped back in May through Sumerian Records,

Extreme metal outfit The Faceless are gearing up to release their fourth full-length, In Becoming A Ghost, later this summer via Sumerian Records.

Slaughter to Prevail, a Russian/U.K. deathcore trio, dropped debut album, Misery Sermon, back in May on Sumerian Records.

Rounding out the bill are Origin, Rings of Saturn, Betraying the Martyrs, Lorna Shore, Counterfeit Culture, Polarity and Monument of a Memory.
