The Tim and Eric & Dr. Steve live show touring to the Paramount Theatre

If you’ve ever caught the “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” then you know the kind of zany humor that the team of Tim Heidecker and Eric Warehaeim are known for. The show, which premiered in 2007 on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, features a public access-style television show with musical acts, fake commercials and very campy special effects all surrounding Tim and Eric’s unique satirical humor. Over the years the show has welcomed a wide range of major guest stars. Guests have included Will Ferrell, Jeff Goldblum, Josh Groban, Paul rudd, ben Stiller, Fred Willard, Weird Al Yankovic, David Cross, Will Forte, Bob Odenkirk and Zach Galifianakis. Though the award for best guest star would have to go to John C. Reilly, who created the character of Dr. Steve Brule.

In fact, the hysterical social awkwardness of Dr. Steve Brule was so popular that it spawned its own spin-off from the “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” called “Check it Out! With Dr. Steve Brule.” The spin-off brings Brule to a variety of situations, also in the form of sketch comedy, in which Reilly interviews real people, with genuine reactions to his horrible presence. To keep the unique low-budget feel of the footage, the video is actually run through a VCR in post-production to give each episode that great low-quality production value it’s known for.

Now, fans of both “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” and “Check it Out! With Dr. Steve Brule” can catch the famous trio live on stage during an exciting national tour. Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim and John C. Reilly are all touring together to bring the “Tim and Eric & Dr. Steve Brule” live tour to several cities across the country this fall. It’s anyone’s guess just what specific sketches and characters you’ll see during the live show, as all three comedians are well known for their truly unpredictable style of humor. The tour kicks off on Sept. 4 in Montreal and then travels through Canada before hitting the United States on Sept. 10 in Portland, Ore. The trio will arrive in Denver for one show at the Paramount Theatre on September 15.

With just one performance in Denver, and such a massive cult-like following, it’s pretty much guaranteed that this show will sell out. You’ll want to grab your tickets now if you want to catch this amazing live show at the Paramount Theatre.
