The Pemberton Music Festival recently revealed its 2015 lineup with Kendrick Lamar, The Black Keys, J. Cole and Tiesto leading the impressive roster of musicians. The Canadian fest also announced the Tim & Eric will be headlining the comedy side of things this July with Cheech & Chong, Reggie Watts and T.J. Miller all slotted to perform hilarious sets throughout the four-day event.
This show marks the first time that Tim & Eric, comprised of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, are returning to the live stage since their hugely successful Tim and Eric & Dr. Steve Brule 2014 Tour wrapped-up in the fall. In recent months, Heidecker has been keeping busy hosting his movie review show, “On Cinema at the Cinema,” while making trips to Hawaii to finish-up filming his patriotic action series “Decker,” the finale of which drops this Friday. Wareheim recently directed Charli XCX's technologically trippy new music video for “Famous.” He previously directed music videos for Mr. Oizo, Major Lazer, Beach House and many more.
Cheech & Chong (Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong) have several live dates scheduled in the U.S., but, to date, Pemberton marks their sole performance in Canada in 2015. Reggie Watts, who recently made his debut as the new band leader for the “Late Late Show with James Corden,” seems to be making the festival rounds this summer as he is also slated to headline the Comedy Theatre at Bonnaroo in June. T.J. Miller always delivers a must-see set at festivals, as his masterful crowd work creates a unique and hilarious experience each and every time. He will also be returning to TV soon as season two of his HBO comedy, "Silicon Valley," premieres on April 12.
Doug Benson, Eric Andre and Tig Notaro are also performing at this year's Pemberton, as are Harland Williams, Ali Wong and Ben Gleib. The comedy lineup is rounded out by Gorburger, Chris Trew and the Air Sex Championships. Last year's festival featured performances from the Trailer Park Boys, Bob Saget, Lisa Lampanelli and Nick Swardson, among other great comedians.
The Pemberton Music Festival takes place in Pemberton, BC from July 16-19. Other musicians playing this year's event include Hozier, Kid Cudi, Missy Elliott, Weezer, Jane's Addiction and The String Cheese Incident, who are performing on two nights. General admission tickets range from $279 - $299 with camping and shuttle passes going for $89.
