Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst’s stellar new duo project Better Oblivion Community Center hit Las Vegas recently as the second stop on their tour around Better Oblivion Community Center’s self-titled debut. Oberst and Bridgers paid homage to hometown heroes The Killers by covering the Las Vegas band’s single “Human” from their 2008 album Day & Age.
Bridgers ad Oberst delivered a stripped down version of the song with Bridgers’ electric guitar the only accompaniment, although Conor does riffle through some papers. Check out Better Oblivion Community Center doing The Killers’ “Human” in the video above. As Pitchfork pointed out, Bridgers has apparently been a longtime Killers fan as she later tweeted about the performance. Check out her tweet below.
Oberst and Bridgers recently embarked on a tour around Better Oblivion Community Center, which arrived in January of 2019. The tour will see the duo throughout the U.S. including stops in major markets like Los Angeles, Seattle, Cleveland, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Dallas and more.
