“The Late Late Show” host James Corden stopped by The Forum in Inglewood on the night of the iHeart Jingle Ball to give venue general manager Nick Spampanato a break before the big show. Corden’s “duties” included checking in on the main event’s star-studded roster of performers which included Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith, Liam Payne and Taylor Swift to make sure their needs were met, and all was in order before they hit the stage.

“The Late Late Show” posted the hilarious segment on YouTube last night (Dec. 7). James stops at Ed Sheeran’s dressing room first and is appalled at his minimal amount of security. He says, “I could be some crazed lunatic fan. You need a greater level of security than this.” He forces the “Shape of You” singer’s tour manager up against the wall and demands he surrender his “fro-yo” before throwing him out of the room. Then, he posts himself as a guard outside of the room and talks into an invisible earpiece saying, “Gingerbread Man’s on lockdown.” He makes passing children “hit the deck!” and crawl down the hall as they pass by Sheeran's open door as he stands grinning and watching.

He visits former One Direction member Niall Horan next to go over his dressing room requirements rider which includes red apples, coconut water and hemorrhoid cream, which Niall emphatically denies needing. James guides Niall into a massage chair, rubs his temples and chants as he kicks back with his eyes closed. He kisses his forehead, then ties his shoe laces together and whispers “Good luck buddy” before leaving.

In Demi Lovato’s room, the Emmy-winning talk show host has a pep talk with her while touching multiple points on her face (including her nose) with the tip of his finger reminding her she’s, “the best female vocalist making music today.” They share a special sequence of high-five hand slaps before he moves on to Sam Smith’s dressing room where he puts the “Too Good at Goodbyes” singer on vocal rest. In Liam Payne’s room, James wants to make sure all the TV channels are coming in properly. He scans each one and eventually lays down on the couch beside Liam and invites him to spoon.

Everything seems to be going great in his temporary managerial role until James receives an emergency call. One of Taylor Swift’s dancers is down. He yells, “I can fix this!” into the phone and runs down the hall. He enters Taylor’s dressing room as she’s talking to her dancers, fully dressed in his reputation midriff serpent top which features black mesh across his exposed belly and portions of the sleeves.

Taylor glances at the outfit and he high-fives her saying, “Use me, use me. I’ll slot right in. Problem solved.” He stands beside Taylor in the lineup and enthusiastically mirrors her dance moves. They take a stretch break and put hands all-in, during which James suggests they melodically chant “Taylor." He leads a “When I say Taylor you say Swift” cheer next, followed by “When I say James you say” and Taylor shouts “Franco!” then addresses his confused look by saying, “I thought we were naming our favorite James.”

Finally, when James goes to the bathroom the “Gorgeous” singer whispers, “Save yourselves. Go now. Run, run!” and they leave the room. You can watch the entire segment in the attached video. The iHeart Jingle Ball will air on the CW network on Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
