Chicago festival fans rejoice as the good people behind Riot Fest have announced the first wave of artists who will be appearing at Douglas Park during the weekend of Sept. 15-17. Headliners include Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and an exclusive reunion of the legendary punk rock group, Jawbreaker.

Along with the above mentioned headliners, New Order, Paramore, Prophets of Rage, M.I.A., Wu-Tang Clan and a special DJ set from Mike D of Beastie Boys fame appear high-up on the stacked lineup. Further highlights include a 40th Anniversary set from Bad Brains as well as highly anticipated performances from Chicago's own Ministry and Vic Mensa.

As if all of this wasn't enough, A Day To Remember, Gogol Bordello, Dirty Heads, TV on the Radio, Dinosaur Jr., Peaches, Built to Spill and many more will also perform in Chicago during Riot Fest 2017. Festival regulars and fan favorites GWAR, Andrew W.K. and Taking Back Sunday are of course set to play as well.

On April 20 following the first wave lineup announcement, Riot Fest organizers plan to reveal select artists who will be performing one of their albums in its entirety during the event. A variety of carnival rides, games and the Hellzapoppin' Sideshow Revue freak show – which will be extended from past installments – will also be featured at this year's festival. Fans can also look forward to over 40 unique food vendors to keep them energized throughout the event. Additional performers will be announced in May.

Last year's Riot Fest was also one for the record books as Morrissey, Death Cab for Cutie, Sleater-Kinney, Rob Zombie and the recently reunited group, The Misfits, rocked Chicago fans with unforgettable sets. Previous performers include Patti Smith, No Doubt, Ice Cube, The Cure, The National, Slayer, Weezer, The Replacements and more.

Three-day Passes for Riot Fest 2017 are currently on sale and VIP options are also available. Riot Fest Denver will not be taking place this year, so no matter where you are located, you may want to book your tickets to Chicago so you don't miss-out on this epic event.
