The LA Clippers have treated fans to multiple giveaways and cultural appreciation nights throughout the year, and that trend will continue on Jan. 28. During the Clippers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks, the organization will partake in a Chinese New Year Celebration.
The game will feature Chinese New Year-themed entertainment throughout the night, as the Clippers look to get one step closer to a Western Conference playoff berth.
Two weeks following the Chinese New Year celebration, the Clippers will commemorate Black History Month during a game against the Phoenix Suns.
For the event celebrating the Chinese New Year, the Hawks will take on Trae Young, John Collins, Jeremy Lin, and the rest of the Hawks in a bid to move a game ahead in the West standings. Montrezl Harrell will be tasked with slowing down Collins, who has a versatile offensive repertoire stretching from the paint to the three-point line.
Additionally, Patrick Beverley and Avery Bradley will be assigned to guard both Young and Lin. If the Clippers can limit the Hawks’ drives into the paint, they should be able to send the Clippers faithful home from Staples Center with a win.
