2018-19 Ontario Reign promotional night: Youth jersey giveaway on Dec. 15

The Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League will have a series of special promotions on Dec. 15 when they host the Colorado Eagles at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Reign will be having a youth jersey giveaway, an ugly sweater jersey auction and a teddy bear toss. 

In the youth jersey giveaway, all jerseys are youth large. The ugly sweater jersey auction is sponsored by Loma Linda Children's Hospital. Regarding the teddy bear toss, fans are expected to throw a teddy bear on to the ice after the Reign score their first goal. The teddy bears will then be collected and given to children in need. The teddy bear toss is sponsored by Sunergy Construction and will benefit Toys4Tots. 

The Reign currently have a record of eight wins, eight regulation losses, two overtime losses and one shootout loss for 19 points overall. The Eagles currently have a record of 10 wins, seven regulation losses and three overtime losses for 23 points. 

Ontario's leading scorer is Sheldon Rempal, who has eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points. Colorado's leading scorer is Andrew Agozzino, who has nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points. 

The Reign meanwhile have won five of their last eight games. On Nov. 11, the Reign defeated the Stockton Heat 4-1. Rempal, Brad Morrison and Philippe Maillet all led the Reign in scoring with two assists. On Nov. 16, the Reign beat the Grand Rapids Griffins 4-3. Matt Moulson scored twice, while Rempal, Matt Roy and Alex Lintuniemi each notched two assists.

On Nov. 21, the Reign beat the San Diego Gulls 4-3. Roy and Maillet each had two assists, while Sean Walker scored the game-winning goal at the seven-minute mark of the third period. On Nov. 25, the Reign beat the Tucson Roadrunners 7-6 in an offensive-minded contest. Brett Sutter scored the game-winning goal at 2:52 of overtime. Sutter and Rempal also led the Reign in scoring as they each had three points. Sutter had two goals and one assist and Rempal had one goal and two assists. Morrison had two goals, Bokondji Imama notched one goal and one assist, while Roy, Moulson and Walker had two assists each.

On Nov. 29, the Reign beat the Bakersfield Condors 3-2. Roy had one goal and one assist, while Walker had two assists. 

In the last three weeks, the Reign's parent team, the Los Angeles Kings, have made many transactions. Among them include promoting Calvin Petersen, Austin Wagner and Sheldon Rempal from the Ontario Reign and sending down Gabriel Vilardi and Peter Budaj to Ontario. Petersen and Budaj are goaltenders. Since joining the Kings on Nov. 12, Petersen has recorded his first NHL shutout as the Kings blanked the St. Louis Blues 2-0 on Nov. 19.

Wagner has one goal and two assists for three points with the Kings and two goals with the Reign. He scored his first NHL goal with the Kings against the Colorado Avalanche on Nov. 21 in a 7-3 Kings loss. 

The Reign meanwhile will have their annual gala on Nov. 28 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ontario Airport on Jan. 20. Fans can bid on Ontario Reign warmup jerseys with the proceeds going to the Be Perfect Foundation, which helps those living with paralysis.
