2018 BET Awards: Jamie Foxx hosting; DJ Khaled, Kendrick Lamar are top nominees

Jamie Foxx is set to host the 2018 BET Awards, which will be presented June 24 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. BET will have a live U.S. telecast of the show at 8 p.m. ET. With six nominations, DJ Khaled is the top nominee going into the ceremony. Kendrick Lamar is close behind with five nods, followed by Migos and SZA, who have four nominations each. The nominations and winners are determined by BET’s Voting Academy, which is consists of selected fans and professionals in entertainment, sports and digital marketing.

The festival BET Experience at L.A. Live, which leads up to the BET Awards, will take place from June 21-24 and will include concert performances by LL Cool JNas, Ludacris, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, SZA and Rae Sremmurd. BET Fan Fest, which is part of BET Experience at L.A. Live, will take place on June 22-23, and will feature appearances by Yara Shahidi, Tip "T.I." Harris, Nick Cannon and several other notable people from entertainment and sports.

This is the second time that Foxx has been tapped to host the BET Awards. He previously hosted the show in 2009.

The 2018 BET Awards will be televised in the U.K., France, Africa and South Korea on June 26. The show will be available online via the BET Play app for iOS and Android devices.
