BET has announced that Nicki Minaj, Janelle Monáe, Migos, H.E.R., and Ella Mai will perform at the 18th annual BET Awards, which will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on June 24, 2018. As previously reported, Jamie Foxx is hosting the show, which BET will air live at 8 p.m. ET. The show will also stream live on the BET Play app.

Most of the performers have new releases to promote. Minaj's "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz" singles were released in April 2018. The songs are expected to be on her fourth studio album, Queen, which is due out later this year. Minaj has a BET Awards nomination this year for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.

Monáe's third studio album, Dirty Computer, was released in April 2018. At the BET Awards, she could perform any of the four singles that have already been released from the album: "Make Me Feel," "Django Jane," "Pynk" and "I Like That." However, Monáe scored a nomination for "Django Jane" in the BET Her category, so it seems likely that she could perform the song on the award show.

Migos' third studio album, Culture II, was released in January 2018. Migos (which has four BET Awards nomination this year) is likely to perform "Walk It Talk It," since the video for the song has a BET Awards nomination for Video of the Year. Or maybe Migos and Minaj could team up on stage for "Motorsport," the Migos song that features Cardi B and Minaj. "Motorsport" has a BET Awards nomination for Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice Award.

H.E.R. (whose real name is Gabriella "Gabi" Wilson) has two BET Award nominations: Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Best New Artist. She has three EPs, and her latest single that was released this year is "My Song." Meanwhile, British singer/songwriter Mai also has three EPs, including 2017's Ready. Her most recent single is "Naked," which is expected to be on a forthcoming EP or album.

With the exception of the Viewers' Choice category, the BET Awards are voted for by the BET Awards Voting Academy, a select group of fans and industry professionals who work in entertainment, sports and digital marketing. DJ Khaled is the leading nominee going into the 2018 BET Awards; he's up for six prizes. The BET Experience at L.A. Live (which takes place this year from June 21-24) is a festival of music performances, panels, and other events that lead up to the BET Awards.
