Like a rose in the April sunshine, the 2018 Colorado Garden & Home Show is ready to spring up at the Colorado Convention Center. In fact, there's so much to do, you may feel a bit overwhelmed. Fear not, dear reader; we here at AXS.com have you covered. Here are nine things to do at the 2018 Colorado Garden & Home Show; follow this link for tickets.
Get inspiration from 11 landscaped gardens
The professionally-landscaped gardens are always one of the highlights of the show and this year is no exception. With 11 elaborately landscaped gardens spread over an acre of space, you can find your own inspiration or contact a landscaper who can complete the project for you. Click here for more information on the 2018 Feature Gardens.
Find everything you need with the exhibitors
If you're in need of gardening supplies or home improvement items, the Colorado Garden & Home Show has you covered. Between the 1,400 booths and hundreds of exhibitors, you're certain to come away with everything you need (and probably a few things that you don't). Check out the full map of exhibitors by clicking here.
Become an instant expert with the 50 free educational seminars
Unlike the average gardening shop that sends you out the door when your purchase is complete, experts at the Colorado Garden & Home Show will teach you everything you need to know to get your garden started. With daily seminars covering everything from planting perennials to the latest tips for remodeling, you can walk out an instant expert. Check out the full 2018 Theater Sessions schedule here.
Talk to an expert interior designer
There's a reason why it's called the Garden and HOME Show; with experts certified by the American Society of Interior Designers, you can connect with a trusted interior designer to transform your house into the home of your dreams. Peruse the 9NEWS Hot Product Zone
Located at the top of the escalators across from the show entrance, the 9NEWS Hot Product Zone showcases the latest, state-of-the-art gardening and home improvement products. Best of all, reps for all the products will be available to answer your questions on the show floor. Find out more about some of the products at the 2018 event by clicking here.
Two words: Flower Show!
The Colorado Garden & Home Show features a Design Specialty Flower Show presented by the Colorado Federation of Garden Clubs (CFGC) and this year's theme is "Let's Play A Game!" Competitors will square off in three divisions (Design: “Games Anyone?; Education: “Key to the Kingdom”; and Botanical Arts: “Hide and Seek”) to win a variety of prestigious awards. Click here to find out more.
Take home flowers with the Flower Sale
All of those incredible aromas and beautiful blooms will no doubt leave you wanting to take home your own flowers and arrangements. On Wednesday, Feb. 28, you can buy perennials for just $2 per pot, with proceeds benefiting the Arvada Rotary. Click here for more details.
Bring the kids
It's never too early to get your children into gardening and the Colorado Garden & Home Show has plenty of activities for the whole family. Best of all, it's 2-for-1 admission from Monday through Thursday, so you can bring the entire family for an affordable price.
Donate non-perishable food items for an even deeper discount
Although tickets to the show are just $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, you can save even more money and help out the local community by donating a non-perishable food item to 9Cares Colorado Shares. Donations will be good for $2 off admission at the ticket box office.
