2018 MTV Video Music Awards: Post Malone, Travis Scott added to lineup of performers

Post Malone and Travis Scott will perform at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, which will take place Aug. 20 at New York's Radio City Music Hall. MTV will have the U.S. telecast of the show at 9 p.m. ET/PT. According to an announcement from MTV, Malone will perform a song from his album Beerbongs & Bentleys, while Scott will do a medley of songs from his album Astroworld.

Malone and Scott join previously announced performers Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Logic and Jennifer Lopez, the recipient of this year's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

The show's host, as well as additional performers and presenters, are to be announced. Online voting for the 2018 MTV VMAs ends on Aug. 10, except for the category of Best New Artist, which will have voting open during the show.

As previously reported, Cardi B has the most nominations (10) going into the show. Malone has two MTV VMA nominations: Artist of the Year and his "Rockstar" single with 21 Savage is up for Song of the Year.

Grande has five nominations: Artist of the Year, and her "No Tears Left to Cry" is up for Video of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects. Mendes' "In My Blood" video has three nominations: Best Pop Video, Best Direction and Best Cinematography. Logic's "1-800-273-8255" video with Alessia Cara and Khalid has two nominations: Best Video With a Message and Best Collaboration. Lopez's Dinero" video with DJ Khaled and Cardi B also has two nominations: Best Collaboration and Best Latin Video.
