Viejas Concerts in the Park returns to the Viejas Casino & Resort in Alpine, Calif. outside of San Diego for a second year in a row after a seven year hiatus. The 2018 concert series is expanding from last year’s lineup of classic rock, country and comedy acts to include norteño and tex-mex groups.
Before the music gets started, Viejas Casino & Resort will host the debut of “King of the Cage: Under Siege,” a series of traveling MMA matches on May 4.
The concert series gets underway on June 15 with Creedence Clearwater Revisited, featuring Stu Cook and Doug Clifford of the legendary San Francisco band Creedence Clearwater Revival. Switching gears, the series will welcome the comedy of renowned ventriloquist Jeff Dunham before returning to music with one of country’s biggest stars, Wynonna Judd and her band The Big Noise.
The series will then host of quartet of classic rock mainstays with Chicago’s Peter Cetera, Little River Band, Loverboy and grab “Two Tickets to Paradise” with Eddie Money. The series jumps back to laughs with the “Blue Collar Comedy” of Jeff Foxworthy, and one is certainly not the loneliest number when you have Three Dog Night. Viejas Concerts in the Park closes out with two Grammy-winning Latin groups, norteño act Los Tigre Del Norte and southern rock pioneers 38 Special on September 27.
The Viejas Concert in the Park series returned with a totally revamped production in 2017, including a 52,000 square foot concert venue seating over 1700 near the Viejas Casino and Resort towers. You can find a complete list of Viejas Concerts in the Park dates, performers and ticket info below.
