The 2019 Denver Travel & Adventure Show will be taking place at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver Feb. 23-24. (Tickets) The event will feature more than 150 exhibitors representing destinations from all over the world as well as other travel-related products and services. Whether you’re looking to take a vacation in your home state, sail away on a cruise or book an adventure to a far away and exotic locale, the Denver Travel & Adventure Show is where you’ll find experts ready to offer guidance or even book your trip on the spot. Here’s a look at some of the exhibitors that you might want to check out.
Because the show takes place in Denver, there are naturally lots of exhibitors that’ll be showcasing the fun to be had within Colorado. Arkansas River Tours (Booth 1014) will be making a splash with their whitewater rafting trips that take place on the Arkansas and Gunnison Rivers. They have rafting adventures for beginners to advanced, and they have fishing excursions too. For those who like their fun on wheels, the Cheyenne Cañon Segways booth (Booth 1115) is the place to learn about their numerous off-road Segway adventures in the Colorado Springs area. Colorado Tourism (Booth 713) will also be on hand with ideas for trips statewide.
Other domestic destinations that’ll have a booth at the Denver Travel & Adventure Show include Ventura, Muskogee, Houston, Billings, Utah’s Canyon Country, Santa Fe, South Dakota, the Florida Keys, Eureka Springs, Grand Canyon West, Sonoma Wine Country and many others.
A wide range of overseas destinations will have booths, including the nations of Indonesia, Aruba, Tahiti, Taiwan, the Dominican Republic, Japan, the Cook Islands, France, China and Antigua & Barbuda. Exhibitors promoting travel to Africa are always popular, and no doubt the folks at Zara Tanzania Adventures (Booth 423) will be very busy. Tanzania is one of the most intriguing of East African destinations; the country is home to Mt. Kilimanjaro, the revered safari destination of the Serengeti National Park and the World Heritage Site at Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera. The exotic island of Zanzibar is part of Tanzania too, and adventures there include excursions to historic Stone Town, spice plantations, lots of animals including giant tortoises and brilliant white sand beaches. Music fans will be delighted to visit Mercury House, the birthplace of the late Queen singer Freddie Mercury, who lived on Zanzibar until he was eight years old and then again after finishing his schooling in India.
Whether you’re planning travel by air or by sea, the Denver Travel & Adventure Show has you covered with exhibitors like Azores Airlines, Celebrity Cruises, Amadeus River Cruises, Small Alaska Ship, and River Cruises by Cruise Planners. Bikers will want to visit the City on the Side (sidecar motorcycle tours) booth, and rail fans should head to the Georgetown Loop Railroad booth. Hotels, resorts and travel agents will be on hand, and booths will also spotlight medical tourism, RV travel, travel insurance, zip line adventures and much more.
The Denver Travel & Adventure Show offers a lot more than just information booths; there will also be seminars, music and dance performances, a chance to meet celebrities like Josh Gates from the “Expedition Unknown” television show and quirky fun like taking a ride on a camel or a Segway.
