The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has announced their 2019 lineup, and the extensive bill is appropriately amazing for the historic 50th edition of the famed festival. Set to play Jazz Fest this year are the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Katy Perry, Jimmy Buffett, Chris Stapleton, Bob Seger, Santana, Van Morrison, Al Green, Logic, Earth, Wind & Fire and many, many more.
As usual, Jazz Fest will take place over two weekends beginning on Thursday, April 25 with headliners Earth, Wind & Fire as well as Alanis Morissette, The Doobie Brothers, Ciara, Taj Mahal and more. Friday March 26 will see Santana headline alongside The Revivalists, Jimmy Cliff and The Head and the Heart among others. Saturday, April 27 Katy Perry shares the Jazz Fest stage with Leon Bridges and Logic while Van Morrison will close out the first weekend with help from Al Green, J Balvin, Bonnie Raitt and an all-star tribute to jazz legend Ellis Marsalis with members of the Marsalis family.
Jazz Fest picks back up on Thursday, May 2 with the Rolling Stones, Tom Jones, Ziggy Marley, Mavis Staples and more. Friday, May 3 will feature performances by Chris Stapleton, Gladys Knight, Gary Clark Jr. and Kamasi Washington. Saturday, May 4 Dave Matthews Band headlines with additional performances from famed New Orleans artists like Aaron Neville, Big Freedia, Galactic and Tanks and The Bangas. Jazz Fest closes out on May 5 with a headlining performance from Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band as well as Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue with the Nevilles, John Fogerty, Chaka Khan, Herbie Hancock and many more.
