2019 Overwatch League roster review: Hangzhou Spark

Season 2 will introduce eight new teams to the Overwatch League when the games begin Feb. 14. Before teams take to the stage, however, we must first evaluate one of the most popular expansion teams and its player lineup: the Hangzhou Spark.

The Spark’s player lineup features bits and pieces of different former Overwatch Contenders rosters. As a result, a few of the players will have experience working with each other, but it’s unclear how well the team will function as a whole. Despite this uncertainty, the Spark has already built a large fanbase with their baby blue and bubblegum pink theme, and the team will step on stage as one of the most anticipated new expansion teams.

For its DPS line, the team signed Park “Bazzi” Jun-kim, Kim “GodsB” Kyeong-bo, Kang “Adora” Jae-hwan, and Cai “Krystal” Shilong. The team’s support trio will consist of Yoon “BeBe” Heechang, Ahn “Revenge” Hyung-Keun, and Yoon “BeBe” Hee-chang. Finally, Park “Ria” Sung-wook, Jeong “NoSmite” Da-un, and Quilin “guxue” Xu will complete the roster as the team’s tank line.

The Hangzhou Spark will be the first of the expansion teams to try out its new roster on stage when the team meets the Shanghai Dragons on Day 1 of the opening week.
