Last fall, Portland metalcore outfit 36 Crazyfists went into the studio to work on the follow-up to 2015's Time and Trauma, which peaked at number two on the Heatseekers Albums chart and number four on the Hard Rock Albums chart. Earlier this year, the outfit wrapped up the recording session, and today, they got the opportunity to show off what they've been working on.

36 Crazyfists' new studio album is titled Lanterns, and it's slated to come out on Sept. 29. The band released the first single from the record titled "Death Eater." Pre-orders for the album will go live soon.

Starting next month, 36 Crazyfists will embark on a trek across the United States with DevilDriver, Cane Hill, Uncured, and Tetrarch. The trek kicks off in San Jose, California on Aug. 18, and it will conclude in Lubbock, Texas on Sept. 22. During this tour, 36 Crazyfists and tour mates DevilDriver and Uncured will be a part of the Michigan Metal Festival in Battle Creek, Michigan on Aug. 26. Other acts slated to perform include Footage Of A Yeti and Beyond Threshold.
