5 best Ally Brooke performances

Ally Brooke’s solo career is heating up. The former Fifth Harmony member signed a solo record deal with Latium Entertainment/Atlantic Records and she’s hard at work on her debut album. The Latin-pop superstar has already collaborated with Topic on the empowering single “Perfect,” and Lost Kings and A$AP Ferg on “Look at Us Now.”

Last month, she released a fun cover of “Wham’s!” hit holiday single “Last Christmas” and her collab with Kris Kross Amsterdam and Messiah, “Vamonos,” dropped on Nov. 23.  The multi-talented artist has lit up stages all over the world with 5H. Now she’s breaking out on her own and is excited to share the next chapter in her musical journey with her large and loyal international fan base.

We’ve put together a list of Ally Brooke’s 5 best performances below.

5. “Last Christmas” at the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade ushers in the holiday season for millions of people around the world each year. Brooke was part of the star-studded 2018 parade performance roster. She looked cozy and cute, decked out in a fuzzy white coat with matching ear muffs. Despite record-low temps, she beamed a huge smile and waved to the crowd, before launching into her new “Last Christmas” cover while riding the colorful Shimmer and Shine float.

4. “Mad World” Acoustic Performance

Brooke’s Twitter followers went wild when she posted a clip of herself singing “Mad World” back in January of 2017. She was sitting on a fireplace hearth and sang the stripped-back, Adam Lambert ala “American Idol” version of the haunting track. Her soft, subtle vocals shined during the intimate performance, in which she was accompanied by a guitar player. The fact that she dropped the clip as a surprise to her fans makes the performance extra special.

3. “Cupid” Fusion Festival 2018

Brooke unveiled “Cupid” at the 2018 Fusion Festival in Liverpool, England back in September. She greeted the crowd brightly and thanked them for sharing her “first solo performance.” She announced the track as “a new song” and launched into the up-tempo, sultry, solo debut while staying perfectly in-step with a crew of male dancers. "Cupid" may have been her “first” solo performance, but it was perfectly clear she knows how to command a stage and she crushed it.

2. “Perfect” “Wild ‘N Out” 2018

Brooke performed her collab with Topic, “Perfect,” in celebration of International Women’s Day on “Wild ‘N Out.” She recently scored a Teen Choice Award nomination for Choice Electronic/Dance Song for the track, which expresses gratitude for a love who accepts her just as she is. The slow-tempo ballad showcased Brooke’s vocal power and range beautifully.

She went out into the audience and connected with fans by grabbing their hands during the empowering chorus singing, “There's always gonna be somebody smarter/Someone prettier who works a little harder/Someone that who ain't afraid to take it farther/And every time I feel like I ain't really worth it/Then you say I'm perfect.” What can we say? It was perfect!

1. “Vamonos” ALMAs 2018

Everyone loves a glitzy, award-show performance and Ally Brooke delivered a scorching hot one at the 2018 ALMAs with her Kris Kross Amsterdam and Messiah collab single “Vamonos.” The Texas native songstress kicked off the ceremony with an infectious, crowd-rousing performance of the Spanish-language track (whose title means “let’s go”).

Surrounded by male dancers in checked suits, Brooke was a vision in lacy white as she belted the lyrics and brought the crowd to their feet. Her dazzling performance teased all the great things in store for Ally Brooke’s solo career and easily earns No. 1 on our ranking. (Watch the performance above).
