5 reasons to check out Martin Lawrence's LIT AF Tour
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon/YouTube

Martin Lawrence is on tour in 2018 with his LIT AF Tour, bringing one of the best-known names in comedy to a venue near you. Tickets for Lawrence's LIT AF Tour go on sale Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. local time. Check out these five reasons to see the LIT AF Tour below, and then get your tickets beginning Feb. 26 at AXS.

1) Because it's Martin Lawrence

Everyone who knows comedy has at least heard of Martin Lawrence. 2018 is his 31st year making audiences laugh, whether it's on stage or in TV and movies. He's been active since 1997, and it's remarkable that he's been able to build a career more than three decades long. The LIT AF Tour is fans' chance to watch one of the biggest names in comedy, live and in person, and see that he hasn't slowed down one bit. Who wouldn't enjoy watching one of the masters at work?

2) His fantastic characters

Watching Martin Lawrence in action is often like watching an entire comedy troupe instead of just one man. Over the years Lawrence has brought to life a wide variety of quirky characters, from "Big Momma" in the "Big Momma's House" films (for which he was nominated for an MTV Movie Award) to all the characters he played on his 1990's sitcom "Martin" (which won him two NAACP Image Awards). Many comedians can only master one stage personality; Lawrence has several and will pack more entertainment into one night than anyone else. Play the video above to watch him bringing his Jerome character back on "The Tonight Show" and find out which character he misses the most here.

3) He pulls no punches

No matter what role he's playing, Lawrence has never been shy when it comes to expressing his opinion on stage. Fans who like their comedy with some edge will want to be front and center for the LIT AF Tour as Lawrence isn't going to play it safe. He's one of those comedians who thrives on taking risks, who talks about what others might not talk about, and who certainly doesn't worry about what anyone else thinks of him. By seeing him live, audiences will get an experience that's full and complete and in no way censored.

4) He's taking it to the next level

With the LIT AF Tour, Lawrence is getting on the road just as his career is getting a shot in the arm. His 2016 special "Martin Lawrence: Doin' Time" was his first stand-up special in 14 years. This isn't someone that you're going to have the chance to see live every year, and he's got fresh material and fresh ideas for this tour. He's not just using the same material that you know him from on TV or in film. This tour is Martin Lawrence getting back to the stage, performing new material, and it's not going to be something you see every day.

5) The VIP experience

If you're in Los Angeles, comedy fans can enjoy a VIP experience on the LIT AF Tour. The VIP Experience at the Microsoft Theater on April 6 includes an excellent seat in the Front Orchestra section, preferred parking at the venue, and exclusive access to a VIP restroom and VIP bar throughout the performance. Plus, there's also a pre-show mixer with food and drink so you can make an evening of it. It's perfect for a date night or a night out on the town. Get more information on the VIP Experience package here.
