Beyond the music, Rockfest provides several opportunity for a fun and memorable day that are outside the typical rock festival realm. Here are five ways to ensure you get the most out of Rockfest.

Take a relationship to the next level

For the couples who simply adore rock and are ready to tie the knot surrounded by a crowd of 50,000 other rock lovers, make it official at Rockfest. The Rock’s Moose, will be officiating a mass wedding allowing multiple couples to declare their love to one another alongside their favorite bands. In order to make the marriage ceremony official, the nuptials will have to bring a Missouri State Marriage License obtained from a Missouri State courthouse. Find out more information about what to bring on the FAQ page.

Grab a signature or two

The Autograph Tent is a yearly tradition at Rockfest, allowing fans to meet with and obtain autographs from their favorite bands. Each band will appear in the Autograph Tent for 30 minutes and will sign one autograph per person. Rockfest recommends that fans arrive 30 minutes prior to the bands scheduled arrival time for the best chance to get something signed. The schedule will be posted soon.

Appreciate the history

Beyond appreciating the music, Rockfest fans should also take in some of the cultural and historical landmarks of Kansas City. The site of Rockfest is the historical Liberty Memorial, the country’s only WWI Memorial. Beneath the Memorial lies a WWI museum that will provide some insight and documentation of the world’s first war. Find out more about the museum hours.

Visit the Kansas City Stage

Rockfest manages their hefty lineup with three stages, each hosting unique bills. To really experience Rockfest fans shouldn’t only stick to the major stages (Monster Energy, Worth Harley Davidson) and make time to check out the Kansas City Stage. The stage will feature unsigned acts from the surrounding areas, giving them the opportunity to shine as well as develop new fans. By taking the time to hear a few new artists, fans have the potential to learn about the hottest new act before they’re famous.

Diversify your schedule

Beyond taking the time to appreciate the Kansas City talent, the diverse and powerful lineup allows for fans to also broaden their rock horizons. When planning a Rockfest schedule to maximize time, throw in a band or two that you may have never seen live or have never heard of. Rock shows are the best way to discover new favorite bands, and Rockfest’s lineup will make this an easy task.
