Those who do win a prize, so there's absolutely no reason to go home hungry.

2. Check out the fashion
The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo is also home to an annual fashion show! Called "Rocking The Rodeo Runway," this Sunday afternoon event shows off Western wear and other clothes and accessories that will catch anyone's eye. What makes it even more remarkable is that every piece in the fashion show comes from an exhibitor at the show, which means attendees who see something they like can find it and take it home! This is a great place to discover an awesome cowboy hat, beautiful purse, or even a whole brand new look.

3. See a concert
Live music is an integral part of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Multiple concerts take place during the event, meaning that audiences can spend the day shopping, dining and socializing, then finish the night with a live performance. These aren't just any ordinary concerts, either; these are some of the biggest names in music. Some of the artists who have performed as part of the event include Kacey Musgraves, Luke Bryan and Chris Stapleton. No matter when you attend, there's always an amazing concert on the calendar.

4. Enjoy the rides

The wine garden offers more than 70 different wines for attendees to sample and savor. It's also conveniently located next to where the concerts are held, so it's a great place to stop and grab a drink before a show, or to unwind at afterward. The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo also offers tent reservations and table reservations within the Wine Garden for larger parties or events.

6. Find The Hideout
Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo visitors who want the full country honky-tonk bar experience should visit The Hideout. It's the event's version of a country dive bar, set up inside a tent. There's a full bar as well as a dance floor for people who want to get their line dance or boot scoot on. Several smaller acts and artists perform at The Hideout as well. It's an excellent place to come in, take a load off, and enjoy a few cold drinks if wining and dining isn't your style.

7. Go on an AGVENTURE
There are plenty of adorable animals at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo; it's in the title, after all! Audiences can get up close to the animals in the AGVENTURE area, which includes a wide variety of livestock. As the title indicates, the area also has multiple exhibits about agriculture, so it's also educational and not just for children. The AGVENTURE tells attendees more about the fundamental things that started the Livestock Show & Rodeo. It's not just about concerts, food and fun; it's also about these hard-working industries that make Texas great.
