A Tribe Called Quest will kick it at Red Rocks on Aug. 10

Without question, A Tribe Called Quest is one of the greatest groups in the history of hip-hop. Following the release of their unexpected (and outstanding) reunion album last year, Tribe has announced their first ever show at Red Rocks later this summer.

Tribe will bring their warm, jazzy, thoughtful brand of hip-hop to Red Rocks on Thursday, August 10, with special guests to be announced. Presale for the show kicks off Thursday, April 27, with general on sale launching the next day, April 28 at 10am. Get your tickets to the show right here on AXS.com.

A Tribe Called Quest broke out as part of New York’s Native Tongues crew in the early ‘90s. By the time of their second album, 1991’s stone cold classic The Low End Theory, the group was one of the most respected crews in hip-hop. Although they broke up following the release of 1998’s The Love Movement, Tribe reunited for a series of tours and festival appearances between 2006 and 2013. While it appeared that the group had split for good, they surreptitiously began work on what would become We Got It From Here… Thank You For Your Service in late 2015.

Tragically, Phife Dawg passed away due to complications from diabetes last March but upon the release of ...Thank You For Your Service last November, Q-Tip suggested that the group might hit the road for one final tour. And although Tribe has announced a series of festival appearances, their show at Red Rocks is currently the only headlining concert the group has announced for 2017. Tickets for this very special show are sure to go fast, so click here to get yours when they go on sale this Friday.
