Former KISS guitarist Ace "Space Ace" Frehley has announced the upcoming release of what will be his eighth solo album when the appropriately titled Spaceman arrives this fall on Oct. 19. The nine-track studio album will be Frehley’s first studio release since 2014’s Origins, Vol 1, and comes just a few months after the famous rock guitarist shared the new single, “Bronx Boy,” in celebration of his 67th birthday back on April 27.

In addition to sharing the track listing and cover art for Spaceman on Thursday (see below), Frehley also released the second single to appear on the album with a loud and distortion driven anthem titled “Rockin’ with the Boys.”The guitar friendly song can be heard in full in the audio-only video seen above and was apparently given its initial composition back in the 1970s when KISS was arguably the most popular rock band in America.

Although Frehley is no longer an active member of KISS following his departure in 2002 after completing a few different reunion tours with the original lineup, he’s remained active within the classic rock community over the last decade with four solo album releases since 2008. Frehley re-teamed up with his former KISS bandmate and co-guitarist Paul Stanley for a song on his 2014 Origins album.

More recently, he and KISS’ Gene Simmons took the stage together for the first time in 16 years last September when the famous bassist joined Frehley to perform “Cold Gin” during a benefit concert. Simmons and Frehley teamed up again this past winter down in Miami when they plugged in their acoustic guitars to play a trio of songs in a less formal setting, including a cover of The Beatles’ “Day Tripper.” According to Blabbermouth, Simmons plays bass on two songs set to appear on Spaceman with "Without You I'm Nothing" and “Your Wish Is My Command."

Frehley was one of the four original members of KISS when the band formed in New York City back in the early 1970s. He was the lead guitarist and even sung on a few of their biggest hits before leaving the band in 1982 but rejoined his masked brethren in 1996 for their highly successful reunion tour.
