Alejandro Covarrubias is rejoining LA Galaxy II. In an announcement made on Thursday, Covarrubias, a native of Cudahy, California, is coming back to LA Galaxy II, after playing three seasons for LA Galaxy II from 2014 to 2016 and signing with OKC Energy FC in December.
Covarrubias has played four games for OKC Energy FC in 2017 and has had three shots on goal. OKC Energy FC has struggled even more than LA Galaxy II this season as they only have four points (one win and one draw) in six games.
While playing in his first three seasons for the LA Galaxy II, Covarrubias set the LA Galaxy II record in appearances with 77. Prior to playing for the LA Galaxy II, Covarrubias played soccer for Cerritos College and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The Galaxy II are coming off a big 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls II. The Galaxy II goal scorers were forward Adonis Amaya of Westminster, California who scored in the 49th minute on a penalty to tie the game at one and forward Justin Dhillon of Rancho Santa Margarita, California who scored in the 72nd minute.
