Since announcing plans to hit the studio back in 2015, fans have waited patiently for a new Alkaline Trio album. Unfortunately, Matt Skiba joining Blink-182 full time put a halt on production. Following some sporadic performances over the past several months, the band revealed their first U.S. tour in three years today.
The East Coast portion of the tour kicks off on Aug. 3 inside The Bomb Factory in Dallas, and it will feature performances in the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak on Aug. 8, the Agora Theatre in Cleveland on Aug. 9, Rams Head Live! in Baltimore on Aug. 14, Starland Ballroom in Sayreville on Aug. 16, Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn on Aug. 16, and The NorVa in Norfolk on Aug. 21.
In October, the band will pay the West Coast a visit with stops inside The Warfield in San Francisco on Oct. 6, Crystal Ballroom in Portland on Oct. 8, the Showbox SoDo in Seattle on Oct. 9, and The Complex in Salt Lake City on Oct. 11.
Joining Alkaline Trio as support on the whole trek are California rock band Together Pangea. The group will be promoting their latest studio album Bulls and Roosters.
The full tour routing can be seen below. Pre-sale tickets are available right now. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Thursday (June 14) at 10 a.m. local time.
Alkaline Trio's last album was 2013's My Shame Is True, which peaked at number eight on the Top Rock Albums chart. While you wait for news on their highly anticipated ninth studio album, you can listen to their Past Live album set over on Spotify.
