The Game Awards 2018 was livestreamed to the world on Dec. 6. For those who missed it, you can watch the stream right here! Some of our predicted winners from the show actually won something. However, we were way off the mark in some categories.

The Game Awards 2018 included more than the ceremonious handing out of trophies. Fans who tuned in to watch were treated to some pretty intriguing World Premiere trailers for upcoming games. Some of these trailers had people shrieking from their seats with excitement. Check out the highlights of these premieres with a complete list below.

“Far Cry: New Dawn”

The events of the next “Far Cry” game take place after what happened in “Far Cry 5.” For those of you who have forgotten how the game ended, we will put it to you simply: the apocalypse happened. “Far Cry: New Dawn” takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. That’s definitely a far cry from what we have usually seen in a “Far Cry” game.

“Dragon Age The Dread Wolf Rises”

This trailer had fans howling for more. It contains pretty sparse story clues as to what will be in the next “Dragon Age” game. All we know is that we’re happy the series is getting another installment. It has been too long since we traveled the land of Thedas.

“Mortal Kombat 11”

The cinematic trailer for “Mortal Kombat 11” was mind-blowing. It showcased a gore-packed fight between Raiden and Scorpion that, of course, ended with an epic finisher. The fact that this World Premiere interrupted the announcement of the winner of the Best Sports/Racing Game made it seem ten times cooler.

Joker from “Persona 5” included in “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate”

This World Premiere dealt with the future DLC for “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.” It revealed to the awestruck audience that Joker, a character from the widely popular “Persona 5,” would be a future fighter on the roster. This announcement was made all the more relevant because “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” released on Dec. 7.
