Once again alt-J has released a music video that can make you ponder what you just watched. The video is for their song "Deadcrush" and it takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. The music video was directed by Young Replicant, and it can be watched above.
Just like in alt-J's "In Cold Blood" music video, the band members do not make an appearance. Instead, the video features women dancing in an old abandoned building. According to the press release sent out this morning, the dances were choreographed by Darcy Wallace, and the women represent photographer Lee Miller, former Queen of England Anne Boleyn and writer Sylvia Plath.
The song "Deadcrush" is featured on alt-J's third studio album Relaxer, which just came out last month. On July 27 the band will kick off their summer tour, which already features a number of sold out shows. One of those sold out concerts takes place Aug. 9 in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium.
Don't worry if you couldn't snag tickets because they've added a second Los Angeles show, which will take place at that same venue on Aug. 10. Tickets for that concert, and select others can be bought now at AXS here.
