It's been twenty years since hardcore punk collective American Nightmare played their first-ever gig. Now, the Boston-based band is preparing to commemorate their first-ever live performance with a 20th-anniversary tour and the re-release of their debut compilation album, Year One, originally released in 2001.
The "Protest Song #00" creators will be kicking off their 2020 20th-anniversary tour in their hometown of Boston on Feb. 13 (Tickets) and make stops in cities like Brooklyn (Tickets), Denver (Tickets), Seattle (Tickets), and Los Angeles (Tickets). Tickets for American Nightmare's 20th anniversary tour go on sale on Oct. 11 (Tickets).
After originally forming in 1998 as the brainchild of Wesley Eisold and Tim Cossar, American Nightmare has had a larges following in the punk music scene throughout the late '90s and early 2000s. Their first two EPs in American Nightmare (2000) and The Sun Isn’t Getting Any Brighter (2001) were combined turned into their first full-length project, Year One (2001). After numerous changes in the band's line up, disbanding in 2004, and reuniting in 2011, the modern-day punk pioneers are ready to celebrate twenty years in the music business.
