Just over a month after dropping its initial batch of artists, the Americana Music Festival has unveiled its second list. This brings the current total list of artists scheduled to perform at the festival to 187, with the promise of over 100 more still to be revealed. While most festivals put their highest profile names in the initial lineup, the second round of Americanafest performers is arguably even bigger than the initial announcement, with heavy hitters like Iron & Wine, Drive-By Truckers, The Mavericks, and Angaleena Presley joining the list

With more than 80 bands dropped, it's a safe bet that there's something to please any Americana fan's palate. For those wanting returning favorites, the lineup additions include longtime Americana Music Awards bandleader Buddy Miller, Amanda Shires, who not only is sitting in the #1 album slot currently as a member of Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit but also released a highly acclaimed record in 2016, Punch Brothers member and prolific solo artist Noam Pikelny, and double Americana Music Awards nominee Lori McKenna.

For those looking for veteran Americana acts, the lineup is similarly loaded. Folk-punk legend Willie Nile is slated to perform, as is Nashville rock pioneer Tommy Womack, frequent multi-genre collaborators Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, former Men at Work frontman Colin Hay, and longtime Americanafest favorite, Texas storyteller Hayes Carll.

Americanafest has always excelled at showcasing young talent before they become nationally known and 2017 is no exception. After wowing fans in 2016 as part of the AMA UK delegation, Yola Carter makes her return. Other youngsters showcasing include Suzanne Santo, who is making her first solo Americanafest appearance after playing the festival numerous times with HoneyHoney, Canadian singer Whitney Rose, whose crowds have only gotten bigger in each of her previous two Americanafest shows, and 15 year old guitar wizard Sammy Brue, whose just released album I Am Nice has been receiving raves.
