Anthrax is one of the most revered thrash metal bands in this history of heavy metal. The band is considered one of the Big Four of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. Anthrax officially announced via Twitter that they are heading out on the KillThrax tour in 2017 with Killswitch Engage and will be hitting Dallas for a show on House of Blues on April 18, 2017.
Anthrax is still out on tour in support of their 2016 album For All Kings, which came out in February. The band hit Dallas on the tour earlier this year with fellow Big Four thrash metal band Slayer. That concert took place in October as the Gas Monkey Bar & Grill and Death Angel was the opening act.
While the 2017 Anthrax Dallas tour stop doesn’t offer the same prestige as a tour with Slayer, Killswitch Engage has been rocking since 1999 and has a pair of gold albums under their belts. They are currently touring in support of their 2016 release Incarnate, which hit number six on the Billboard 200.
The Killthrax tour kicks off on March 29, 2017, in New Jersey and they will tour through May when they finish up on May 7 in Boston. The Anthrax Dallas tour stop is the fourth straight Texas concert, following stops in Austin, Pharr, and Houston.
Tickets for the Anthrax Dallas concert went on sale on Dec. 16 here. Prices for the show at the House of Blues run $35 for general admission and between $49.50 and $65 for balcony and box seating. Killswitch Engage is co-headlining this concert in Dallas and The Devil Wears Prada is the opening act.
